I am a graduate student and an ESL teacher in Florida. I have 3 years experience teaching ESL to adults, and I speak Spanish and French. By Spring 2005, I will have my masters in TESOL. After graduating, I am interested in teaching English in Latin America or Africa. Currently I am looking into binational centers or U.S. Embassy English teaching positions there. I would really like to hear from teachers in these postions. Are there any teachers here who are currently (or previously) working in binational centers or U.S. Embassy English teaching positions?

If you have information on a particular binational center or U.S. Embassy job, here are my questions�

(1) What�s the hiring process for an American to teach English there?
(2) What are the qualifications needed by that person?
(3) What are the salary and benefits offered at the center or program?
(4) What are the duties/responsibilities of an English teacher in your program?
(5) What are the average monthly expenses of living in your country?
(6) Immigration requirements for U.S. citizens
