After being in Japan for almost 4 years I need clothes.
Despite being very average sized clothes here are built
for a different build.

I'm going back to Aus. for a couple of weeks at Christmas and
thought of going back to via Jakarta to get clothes made.

1. Is getting clothes made feasible?

2. How much would I expect to pay for skirts, & jackets.

3. What is the selection of fabric like? Can I get wool?

4. How long would I need to wait - is 4-5 days cutting it too fine.

5. Any suggestions on somewhere that would be good to go?

I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Best wishes

TG

Hi Tokyo Girl.

I don't know anything about having clothes made, but I thought I should point out another option, which is to have a look at the factory outlets that produce stuff for the overseas market.

This site has some info about them:

Another option might be to simply approach an Indonesian who is your size and ask her where she shops. I've seen plenty of Indonesians who are at least the size of an average western woman. they can't all be getting tailored clothing, surely.

Being a massive guy I get all my clothes made in Jakarta. PM me if you want the details of my tailor. He is the father of a friend of mine and works from his home. You can either shop for the material yourself and get him to makeit, or just tell him what you want and he'll do it all.

Price is quite reasonable and his work is top rate.
