I just saw an advertisement for a Mexico-based company on Dave's job board. They had me, until they mentioned a resume fee.
Why would a company need to ask for this...? |

What exactly does this company do? TEFL job placement in schools and/or businesses? EFL teacher training and placement? Taco stand management?
Without knowing what this company does, I'd guess that some possibilities for charging a resume fee might include:
~ changing its format so that it can be sent via Internet to possible employers
~ editing it to make it more "Mexican style"
~ translating it from English to Spanish
~ verifying that the information is valid
~ making some extra money for the company |
