I have lots of questions and need lots of advice. I am even new to discussion forums.
Here's my story:
My husband and I are both 30 with BA's, but no teaching experience. We would like to teach english in Taiwan. I have done a lot of internet research but I would still like some advice as to the best way to go about this. Also, I am wondering if there are other 30 year old married couples who have done this. The majority seems to be younger, single people but I could be wrong.
As a married couple, what are the chances we can work at the same school? Is there a good way to indicate that we are looking to work together when sending applications? Or are there any good placement programs that would place us together?
Any help, info, advice on teaching, Taiwan, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Try posting this, if you haven't already, in the Taiwan forum. The newbie forum is more general.
Yes, there are plenty of married couples teaching in many countries. Yes, singles are the norm, but many schools like to hire couples because of the perception (and rightly so) of stability. BK (before kids) my wife and I taught, but now she is at home with the young ones.

By the way, welcome to Dave's.

I'm over 30. Married. Work at the same school as my husband, and have for three years.
