After being here for 3 months, I am finding it difficult to get stronger here in Japan!! I find the food here fatty and full of carbs. Feedback from anyone who has found any Japanese supplements that work will be appreciated!! |

well join a gym like I did.
I sit six days a week and new I had to get active, so I joined the XAX gym.
Tonight I have the Body Pump class where we use free weights.
I go to the class with a friend. I find it helps to go together, because then I go.
And upstairs there are weight machines that can be used.

I agree with you about the food being nutritionally horrible from a muscle-building point of view.
Where in Japan are you? If you're in the Tokyo area, you can get protein powder at Oshmann's and several other fitness shops. The fitness shop where I buy supplements seems to be owned by Golds Gym and recently started carrying Designer Protein. You'll pay through the nose for those supplements though.
If you want to stick to a whole food diet, you'll have to cook at home and take your food with you. My house is always packed with chicken, tuna, tofu, eggs, brown rice (called genmai here), pasta, potatoes, and vegetables. |

Thanks Vince! I am in a small city called Tottori and there is a crappy gym but there are free weights so it can be worse
The food that you get at the grocery, especially the beef, is poor. Find myself tired, miserable and feeling like crap! The poor food has done a number on me getting a really decent workout (doesn`t help that I work for a crap school either!)
Thanks for the tips and if you can think of anything else and KNOW of a good brand of supplements, let me know!
