Talking of patches, a friend of mine is a REALLY heavy smoker and she was so worried about a longhaul flight to SE Asia she put on two patches AND chewed nicotine gum - but she suffered a nicotine overdose and fainted, and as they didn't know why she'd fainted and her heart was racing so much they had to make an emergency landing Shocked

I love reminding her of that every now and then.
