Hello everyone,
I am new and this is my first post. I have an interview with CNA for a teaching position, it`s a vocational position. I have read alot of older threads on this forum but I was wondering if there were any changes? Does anyone have any new info on the college?
thanks |

To piggyback on tcat9's question, is the CNA-Q still for Canadians only, or teachers from other countries also employed there? |

I never asked the question so that I could take what seems to be some kind of "shot" at my Canadian status, but if it makes you feel better....have at it..
We are still the best at hockey.... |

So, only Canadians may teach at CNA-Q?
Canadians hockey teams have to be good -- it makes up for the absence of baseball teams in Canada. |

I concede to overlooking the Bluejays -- but then they are easily overlooked... Really, I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm an utterly loyal fan of any Chicago team -- and not just because the Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup and the White Sox, the World Series, in recent memory. |

Ha! Baseball is the BEST sport (outside of tennis), especially after enduring nine months of winter. Sitting in the bleacher section of Comiskey Park -- now U.S. Cellular Field -- on a sunny day. It's blissful! That reminds me the Groucho Marx joke: Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Okay...so not everyone thinks it's funny... |

Any team that has won the World Series (i.e. the USA and Canada - 1992 and 1993) back-to-back deserves to be remembered.
I mean, after all it took Boston (my team) 86 years to repeat (1918 - 2004.)
Regards,
John
Is baseball a sport? How about - is golf a sport? |

Ah, Johnslat. The White Sox ran roughshod over the Red Sox a couple of years ago on its way to winning the World Series. Nice! No mercy... The real reason I like the White Sox: it sponsors dog days of summer and invites fans and their dogs to one of its games toward the end of its season. Pure class... |

Goodness... are these fellows easily distracted from job searching to... some sport or something... or what...
Did anyone answer the questions about whether they hire other than Canadians? Do you care anymore?
There have been some very current threads about CNA... in the last few months. And as I understand it, they only hire Canadians, and those from Newfoundland seem to get priority.
Now... who's on first?

My post was, as usual, mainly, tongue-in-cheek. Yes, in fact, at my latest inquiry, you have to be a Canadian to be considered there. They were very clear about that in their adverts.
Ergo, "Only a Canadian would work at CNA-Q."

The reason why Canada has never had a civil war? After hockey, they'd find it too tame. |
