Hi Forum
I don't know how many of you watch this annual event courtsey of the B.B.C and other European t.v. channals but this year it was a cracker the music as usual was very Euro ( whatever that is ,someone please clarify this ) if you want badly written and performed songs as entertainment value this is the show to watch and old Terry Wogan takes the gipsies kiss non stop , any way on this occassion the British entry came last ,not surprising as they went to war with Iraq and not one country gave them any points I'm talking nil pount here, mind you the song was crap which may have being the real reason (who said there's political voting going on here) As it happens most of the songs were sung in English the percentage has risen steadily over the last few years even Turkey sung theirs in English and they just pipped those rather strange Russian lasses by the name of TATU ( sorry KenT ) by a single point, my question is, do you think their use of English in the song was a factor or was the song really that good ? Personally I liked it but I would like to hear other comments . |

Turkey's reaction to Euro-win:
Flicking through the channels this morning at least 7 were still covering it.
Turkey's reaction to 2-0 defeat to England:
"What game?" |

I think you will find that there was no "English" entry. It was a British entry. |

the is is going back to the 80s but my ex husband was a judge. Now he is a vet right, his taste is something like rollings stones and tom thaites so how did he become a judge? At the time I could not ask him, is it something like jury duty?

Normally the English/British "confusion" makes my blood boil, but on this occasion I'm quite happy to make an exception. |
