Has anyone out there heard of

Aipusen English Training Institute

and could repeat it on this forum?

Here is there URL:

http://www.aipusen.org/About.htm

Their website makes the job sound too good to be true, i.e.:

Monthly salary of RMB 8,000 - 11,000 depending on credentials
and experience.
No more than 25 teaching hours per week NOT INCLUDING TRAVEL TIME BETWEEN SCHOOLS
Furnished apartment shared with 1-2 foreign teachers.
Work Visa and Residence Permit provided.
One week of paid vacation plus paid Statutory Holidays.
A two-tier bonus system
1) 4500 RMB to reimburse flight
2) Additional performance-based bonus of up to 4000RMB both paid upon completion of contract.

So, if anyone out there with any information pertaining to this Institution, please share with me. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Pablo Cruz :-)

This is what I found through a quick internet search:

And this, which isn't directly related to Aipusen but is linked to them:

I seem to remember they got a lot of flak in earlier years. And, if my memory doesn't fail me I was once taken for a ride by one of them too. It was to be a job in a middle-school in the green belt separating Guangzhou from cities to the south; somehow the promised pick-up by car didn't materialise and when I called to ask what was the matter I was told the job had been cancelled.

People will always believe and remember the bad things that people say. Angry teachers leave bad impressions for all those who follow. It is up to the job seeker to find out for them self and make their own judgements.

I am currently working for Aipusen , and have been for 1 1/2. I am planning on renewing my contract again. I am treated well, have a great place to live and yes the salary is right., its not to good to be true.

Compared to alot of companies in China, I will argue that Aipusen is one of the top ones to work for. How does a company with 38 foreigners manage to stay alive? If there were that many problems, everyone would just quit. Many teachers come to China with the wrong attitude, and too many expectations.

Yes, I did work for two other companies in China, and yes in my opinion they had their problems. But, that was my opinion.. We are professionals and it is not my job to be spreading my problems or rumours on the internet, so people can judge.

I agree, Aipusen is not for everyone, we do work more than other jobs, we do travel between schools. People dont realize we are paid twice as much as other jobs in China, more work, more pay. If you want to work 12 hours a week, 3 days a week, then aipusen is not for you. It is a full time job, with full time hours.

What you give to a company is usually what you get out. As for Aipusen, if new changes happen its not because they want to screw you. They try their best to accomodate all involved, but sometimes we all have to suck it up and work a little more to help others out. Companies such as Aipusen dont do things on purpose to make our lives rough.

If you have any questions about Aipusen, pls PM me.
