Hello all, I'll be arriving in BsAs in less than two months, and I'm starting to really worry about my savings. For the first month, I will be taking a course. I'm planning on coming with about $2500. Will this get me by if it takes me a couple of months to get started? Thanks for any info! Also, anybody looking for a roommate starting the first of July?

Cheers, Rebecca

I'm hoping to live and enjoy the town a bit, for at least 4 months. I have a similar ammount of cash & hope it lasts...with those rent prices rising, this may be a challenge!

Matt, what's the average cost of living for folks who like to go out on the weekend, but plan to lay low and work hard (studying)through out the week? (USD) I was hoping no more than $700 per month

I'm about the same as Maxie. I'm taking the EBC course. I think it comes out to be about 1500, but I have about 2500 in savings after the course. I'd like to live in one of the safer neighborhoods, but not necessarily top end. During the week I probably won't spend that much time out at night but on the weekends probably so. I could see myself eatting 3-4 meals out a week. Thanks for your help!

Hi Rebecca,

You mentioned youre attending the EBC course in Buenos Aires. I will be on the May course maybe with a friend. I really want some advice /opinion on what my friend wants to do. She wants to do the month course in Buenos Aires and head on to Madrid, do you think thats a good idea? She has realized the additional expense of getting herself to Madrid but she figures, you earn higher in Madrid, so you get your money back faster. What do you think?
