Greetings,
I was hoping someone could inform me as to the traditional
school terms equivalent to American semesters.
I.e. in America, public schools run from mid Sept to late May
normally and colleges run pretty close to that as well. What is
the situation in China? |

Generally September first to the end of June in MANY schools (certainly not all). However, you may get some huge holidays thrown in there (at my school, for instance, two weeks off for the National Day holiday in October, a month off for the Spring Festival in February, and two weeks off for the May Day holiday in May - - these lengths of time are not typical in most public schools though). Also, there are summer camps throughout China which generally last for about a month. |
