I recently got a job in Toyama, in the Chubu district. Has anyone ever been there? Can anyone tell me anything? Preferably good things.

Toyama is on the Sea of Japan so expect lots of snow in the winter and high humidity and heat in the summer.It is located near what is called the Japanese Alps so if you like to ski you will be in heaven.Toyama is famous for it's tulips.The people are very friendly.It's a nice city,maybe around 400,000 people,not sure.
