Has anyone found a secret to getting cheap airfare to Thailand?

The cheapest I have found leaving from the East Coast of the USA is around $1000. I'm really hoping there is something out there cheaper than that! I have seen some from LA for $650, but then I would have to fly to LA, probably at least another $300. Any advice?

I have pretty good luck finding flights from Tampa to BKK on Travelocity for around $850 via Chicago and S.Korea. Aim for mid-week flight days if you can. Mark

I have flown three time in in last year from Dayton OH and paid between 850 and 1000. The best price (in advance is priceline.com). You may get cheaper fares less than a week before you go but those are always iffy at best.

And good luck to you.
