I know this has probably been on the forum before, but has anyone any good ideas about where to get tickets for the final in case i don't get them through uefa? It's just become more interesting now there's bound to be an EPL team in the final.
And while you're about it, you might as well say whether you think it's going to be Chelsea or Liverpool. I'm a Chelsea fan, so I have to say the former...

Hoping Liverpool gets through but I wouldn't put any YTL on it.

I heard that all the L'pool fans are getting flown into Ataturk airport and all the Italian fans are getting flown into the airport on the other side. Anyone else heard this. Then just before the match they are getting ferried off to the stadium.

This is true. All the main firms will be attending including Section 5 and the ICF. Stay away if you don't like naughtiness.

So what do you think will happen when the main firms meet up with the soft touch of the local men in blue Laughing

You know that there is nothing in the area to trash, so unless the firms want to trash the stadium, I cant see them doing much.

I also got tickets through UEFA.
Entrailicus, don't you want to go to the match? Are you a Chelsea fan, like me?

when you put it that way, it does make sense. Know anyone who wants some tickets?
By the way, you're starting to sound like ghost, refering to yourself in the third person. or was that deliberate?

I heard last night that they are putting up big screens in Taksim square to show the match. Can anyone confirm this?
Oh yeah my friend went to Consolate on Friday and there are signs up everywhere saying not to go to the consoate on the 25th and 26th if possible. Do you thinnk they are expecting some trouble?

I have just had a phone call. do I want tickets for the final? It will cost me 450 euros. What's the stupidest price you have heard of? Has anyone seen that scouser on Istiklal with the placard looking for tickets? He's been there for about 4 days apparently. Maybe we can make a quick buck and start teaching scouse English.

what do you think the streets will be like that evening? i have to be out and about, esp on istiklal. what time is the match. other than that, i'm not so interested... however, i saw some obvious brits (white legs) on the cadde this evening and i was reminded of that stabbing a few yrs ago. so, what do you think about the streets?

Staying off the streets would be a very wise choice.
