From http://www.englishdroid.com/dos_recruiting.html:

That website is just so......wrong!

I know it is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but how much of that is the actual harsh (the way things are - not how they should be) reality?

I whiled away hours on that site - it is very funny indeed!
And accurate too, I reckon.

Numps: it may have been posted before, but please, for any newbies like me who can't (or forget to) Rolling Eyes use the search function, this wonderful url www.englishdroid.com is worthy of a re-post or a bump on the General Discussion board or Newbie board.

It's not so.......wrong! At all. The very thinly disguised references to Indonesian EFs are, for those who have worked in such establishments, amusingly accurate. If you're planning to go and work for EF in Jakarta, you should get your head around the fact that "that webiste" isn't "so wrong". As to being "somewhat tongue in cheek".... Somewhat? You're having a larf aren't you? It is satirical. It is a bit of fun. If you're going to work for EF in Jakarta, you're going to need to procure a sense of humour. Instead of asking so many questions, you should just get out there, start teaching and experience it all first hand. Then you'll know how much of it is harsh reality or not.

Okay let me rephrase my vernacular:

That website is just so funny in a satirical and tounge-in-cheek way.

I wasn't saying it was "wrong" as in incorrect. I was saying "wrong" as in funniest home video style where some dad cops a bat in the groin while teaching his kid baseball.

"oooh dude, that's just WRONG"
