Hola,
Does anyway have any info for internationals studying in Argentina?.
I am currently cruising Central America studying Spanish and am really keen to continue down in Buenos Aires, most likely a combo of photography and spanish, and hopefully teach at the same time.
Maybe it is totally unrealistic as I haven`t got much cash to work with, but it is time for me to study and I figure the money needed to study at home in the Uk, would be better spent down there...
Heres hoping

Hey there. There are so many places and ways to learn spanish in Buenos Aires. I am currently taking the rather expensive ($400) classes at the University of Buenos Aires. It is fun there because you are in the language school of the university so you can meet a lot of other students if you want. There are flyers all over the place for private instruction and I have heard of cheaper classes than the ones I am taking offered buy a school of Construcion. Just come to a hostel and the people can help you out. Good luck.

when i was there studying abroad, they said that you needed a visa or dni to register for classes. but it kind of depends on the prof, school, class, your goals, etc. argentines aren't really known for adhering strictly to the rules...
the public universities in argentina are free to argentines. uba has over 100,000 students. it's not too tough to blend in. if you don't care about grades and just want to learn for your own enrichment, you may be able to just show up. how advanced are you of a photography student? i bet you could find someone to give you private lessons - similar to how you would teach english.
just a few ideas. like i said, as far as i know, you need a visa to actually enroll in classes. hope that helps. |
