Hey, I'm teaching English in Seoul, South Korea. I have a bunch of kids (10 aged around 11) and (5 aged around 15) that are dying to have a penpal. As their teacher, I'd prefer it to be in postal communication (letter writing is such a dying art). These are advanced students by the way, so they should be able to communicate with your class of the same age. Email me at [email protected] or PM me to arrange something. |

I did a really fun pen pal class with my Korean students last year. My students wrote to my 12-year-old brother's class. I set it up with the teacher before I left for Korea and had email contact with her fairly regularly.
I think most American schools have websites. You could search for your old elementary school or middle school and just email one of the teachers on the list. Kinda weird, but I would think many teachers would be into it.
I collected all the letters and sent them in big packs. It was a bit chaotic at first actually. I had students coming and going, so there weren't always enought letters to go around. But once we got the hang of it, it was a big hit. They sent each other pics and stickers and pencils. Very fun. PM me if you have ques. |
