I would welcome comments, advice, views, and especially opinions from knowledgeable posters on the following question, first let me give some context.
HKU is quite far from where I live, but I have signed up, and paid in part, for a PGDE course there. I am trying to place myself at a secondary school for my PT. I didn't attend secondary school in HK so my alma mater isn't in HK. The HKU has an extensive network of secondary schools in HK where people like me could be placed. However, I may try to find a school for myself. So I finally come to ask my question.
My question is, given the distance from where I live to HKU, would it be better or worse to do my PT near where I live or near HKU, and why.

The traffic between HKU (Pok Fu Lam (sp) is terrible in the evenings.
Walking is an option, if you like steep inclines. In the evenings, walking back or via bus, you can stop off at the Soho area and take the esculator down to soem relaxation time.
From Central to HKU takes around 45 mins in the evenings.
Just something to bear in mind Obviously, if you can find a suitable school close to HKU, you will be able to save a lot of time running around and waiting for buses.
BTW which PG course have you enrolled on?

Does anyone know what the website address is for finding the ranking of secondary schools in the new territories? For example, universities and their departments/schools are ranked every five years or so and I think Oxford, Cambridge are ranked at the top. There's something similar in HK for secondary schools, could you give me the weblink please.
Chris, thank you for your question. The weblink below should give you some information, which would probably answer your question.
