Looks like you've been had..
Q1 In practice what can you do about it either way. If they have any legal entity in the UK possibly?
Q2 No - not if it wasn't in your contract.
Q3 So not only have they done you - they are tacitly admitting it as well.
Q4 Absolute bollocks. I'll desist in going further; I'm sure others will comment.
I'd get out asap and just pay for your own ticket. |

Yore advice is good and welcome but let me clarify: this was a past experience in the past tense but I posted in response to an advert on the net from this school and as a warning to teachers not to make the same mistakes I made and to be very wary when applying for this job. |

I am interested: How many of you have been through this experience?
How many of you have found your last pay to be about half of what you reasonably expected? My guess is over 90% of teflers have left jobs with that sore 'I've been ******over feeling'and then spent far too much time and mental energy trying to figure out where you went wrong and boring your friends who are all thinking 'But why on earth do you put up with that kind of rip off?' It certainly drove me over the edge. |

Sorry to hear about all the sh*t you've been through. That part of the world is worse than the Wild West.
My question is really this: What on earth is "gissa a bell"? Do you mean "give us a bell" which means "give us a ring"? What part of Britain (if Britain at all) do people use that accent? Just curious. |

Its what middle class people from the home counties say to try to sound 'c0ckney'. This is epitomised by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. |

"a bell" old school, named after Alexander Graham Bell who invented the reusable condom amoung other things, the man responsible for the interruption of more classes than any other human being, he was a plank I think.
"gissa"= give us a.= used in most of the UK. Made famous by Yosser Hughes in the 1980's; "gissajob"
'Saimt Jamie Oliver= a famous TV chef and campaigner for fat children. |
