I've been teaching for a big IT company for the past few months and just wanted to hear from anyone who might be in a similar situation. I know most people here teach at private language schools and/or give private lessons.
I work daytime hours for the company's training department, providing lessons to managers and employees. Being an IT company, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed.
Anyhow, I was just wondering if anyone taught English within a corporate atmosphere as I'd like to compare notes. By the way, there may be some job openings here soon. You can message me if you are interested. |

I do some corporate BE teaching for one of my schools, and I find it much more enjoyable than public GE. The students are generally pretty relaxed & friendly, the surroundings are usually more comfortable than classrooms (eg a nice comfortable boardroom with armchairs & excellent views over HCMC), and in terms of lesson planning it's easier to find interesting, relevant material for such classes than it is for classes of public students who all have different interests and reasons for learning English.
I've also previously worked as an IT trainer here in HCMC and again the atmosphere is different to the English classroom - students seemed to show greater enthusiasm and attention, basically because their careers were dependent on the training.
And yes I might be interested in any job opps! PM me please! |
