Anyone have any experience of Thailand and South America?
I am planning on taking the T&T TEFL course in Phuket in June, and am hoping to work in Thailand initially, but i am also seriously interested in South America,- how well would a TEFL from Thailand be accepted?
Or should i seriously consider doing a course in South America instead?
Can anyone recommend any courses?
Also is a TEFL certifcate enough or do schools require a degree?

I took the SIT TESOL cert. in Costa Rica this January. Their next course is in June, and I would highly recommend it.

If your interest is really in South America, take your training in Latin America. To be a successful teacher you must be comfortable with and savvy about the culture you're teaching in--and any teacher training worth its salt will put a fair amount of focus on cultural elements.
