Hey folks,
Planning on taking the IH CELTA in Sevilla in Sept. Moving from the USA. Not going to take much stuff with me initially but may send for stuff when settled. Trying to make the eternal decision: "to ship or not to ship; to store or not to store" my crap. I read on some other travel sites that spanish customs duties may be high as they apply the VAT to some goods. Anybody had any experience with shipping stuff over and having that happen? Is it worth shipping familiar and useful stuff from home--sheets, pots and pans, stereo, computer, etc.? I know about USA TV's not working there and VCR and DVD players also. Any info would be useful.

Being as you�ll be working here illegally, it�s not a genius idea to ship out through customs living-type things if you�re supposed to be here on holiday. All you need is a laptop at the most. You�ll accumulate enough cr*p to work out how to take home when you�re finished here anyway without brining stuff with you!
