Could anyone help me out here? I have to convince the managers incharge that a straight up two hour session without a break could break the already broken. I like the job, and would like to do my best to change that teaching hour session.
Any help would be nice. We use the new Headway and the students are young adults from 18 onwards.
I need all the niceties (and I dont mind any comment out there - ) you can conjure because management needs to speak with me shortly!
Thanks all.

Changing the system - such as it is - is often not possible. If diplomatic begging doesn't work, I would suggest that halfway through the period, do something fun and physical. Get the students up and moving around. Then go back to Headway (condolences on that...).

The good thing is that most of the lecturers are of the same opinion, and do not mind teaching the students 2 hours straight. The students just stop thinking after the first 45 minutes, and we get observed sometimes, so it is a case of finding a good balance between what the management want and what is good for the students. Especially when they have to listen to native teachers and some not so native teachers in the class it just gets a bit too much sometimes to control them.
But I like the idea of getting them to do something physical and fun.
