Can anyone recommend a good summer option that doesn't involve summer camps in the UK? I am British and I have 7 years experience teaching ESL. I am in Spain at the moment but would really like to go somewhere for July and August to earn good money. Any suggestions?

I did a four-week summer program in Xiamen, China a few years ago. I found in through the US-China Educational Exchange--not quite a recruiter, but a...uh... travel agency/study abroad program/placement company. (Yeah, yeah, I have heard, and certainly believe, that recruiters are anywhere from evil, at worst, to unnecessary, at best, but given my situation at the time, it was the way to go...)

Both this site and tefl.com have summer postings. Keep checking every day, and you'll see more than just UK summer jobs. I've seen a few recently for China and Taiwan.

Oh, wait--you said something about "good money." China, then, is not the best option.

No offense, but if you travel overseas and work for only a month or two, how can you make "good money"? Or, to look at it another way, how much is "good" to you, after paying for basic necessities and airfare?

no offence taken.. its just over the years I have heard of people working summer packages where airfare etc is paid but as it wasn't relevant at the time I never took in the details..I think it was university type work..maybe good pay was the wrong expression - I meant fairly paid in order to avoid camps that just pay pocket money.
