Looking for some thoughtful insights from someone who has both LA and SE Asia experience. To start, it seems relatively obvious LA is not the place to go if one wants $$$. Other than that, what about people, quality of life, work atmosphere and and free time? Does one place stick out as opposed to another?

Anything you can think to offer by way of explanation is much appreciated. Thanks,
