I checked out the website for teachworldexperience.com and can't say that I am at all impressed.
It never ceases to amaze me how some recruiters think that they can get away with employing people illegally. According to the information contained on the companies own website, this is exactly what this company does.
Quote: |
Q: Will your organization help me get an ARC? If yes, whose name will it be under?
A: Yes, will assist you in obtaining your ARC for certified teachers. If you will work in a public school, your residence card will be under Omega Multiplatform Education simply because the school system has designated this firm to recruit, train and provide administrative oversight for all certified teachers in the program. If you choose to work for bushiban, the bushiban will assist with getting your ARC. |
The above states very clearly that the teachers ARC is issued in the name of the recruitment firm. Any teacher working under such an arrangement would be working illegally. The name of your actual employer must be the sponsor name on your ARC. You cannot legally work for any other employer unless the name of that employer is on your ARC.
The reasons given by the company for this discrepancy do not have validity. The reason that the government school cannot issue an ARC in your name is because these schools cannot legally employ foreign teachers.
I dont doubt that this recruitment firm has all the contracts in the world to supply teachers to these schools, but that fact remains that teachers working through this program would be working illegally.
I have previously spoken about proefl.com so won't comment on this.
Other than a program operated through the MOE, foeign teachers cannot legally work in government schools in Taiwan. |
