Does anyone know when a message moves from your Outbox to your Sentbox? I sent one yesterday and it's still sitting in my Outbox. Does that mean it's not been sent, and if so, how long before it is?

OK, I'll answer my own question!

It seems when you send a message, it sits in your Outbox for about 24 hours and is then transferred to your Sent Box. I don't know when it's actually sent.

It is sent instantly.

It changes boxes when the recipient opens it.

You can edit or delete it in the outbox too.

I'd like it if regular email operated the same way.

You don't often see as much snow on the mountains and even then it's only for a few months in the year. It is after all 'The City of Eternal Spring'. (average daily temperature 70 to 90 degrees. (He says trying to help the Tourist Industry!!))

Completely unrelated but I was just curious... what do you think of Santa Cruz, gambasbo? Ever been? What's it like? I had a job offering up there a few months ago but turned it down to continue living where I'm at now. Just wondering if I could have made a mistake?!

Fond memories of Cochabamba & Santa Cruz & Bolivia in general. Back in the 70s.

My favorite city was Tarija. Is it still special?

Santa Cruz is a nice city but only if you are used to heat and humidity. Having lived over 20 years in Scotland, I couldn't stand it!!

Tarija is still on my 'to do' list, but many have said it's a really nice place.

I have also been wondering about Vina del Mar and I seem to remember you are there or near there, Weona. Any comments? Is it warm enough in June/July?

If you're looking for beach in June/July then i'd go to Brazil-it'll be cheaper than Vina and hot and sunny...that said, Vina/Valpo/Renaca (Renaca has the best and cleanest beach) are a lot nicer in winter (and June and July are the coldest months) when there are no tourists. The coastline is beautiful-i suppose that without a car you can catch a bus along it and then go back or hire a car and drive.

It depends what you like, coming from Dorset i really miss my windswept craggy coastline and resort towns in winter when they're dead so i like renaca, where my girlfriend's family have an apartment, much more in winter than in summer.

You could also maybe think about Mar del Plata here in Argentina, in winter i think it's totally dead (like Vina) and it'll be cheaper than Vina (not too sure about accomodation there but i guess in winter the prices drop). Cost of general living here in about 60% of chile and the food's better and cheaper here with the honourable exceptions of seafood and the big fat fried cheese and prawn empanadas you get in and around Vina. The seafood, one would have to assume, would be good in M del P as well.

My brother and girlfriend went to Iquique and weren't overly impressed; i know nothing about it...

Vi�a del Mar is perfect around October, November, December right before the tourists come and the sun is still shining bright. June/July are probably the worst weather-wise but if you are not particularly looking to come and soak in some rays on the beach, Vi�a is still an awesome city to see in the winter.

Iquique is basically a smaller Vi�a with a higher crime rate. Its beaches are less impressive but the water is considerably warmer. I think either choice you will be content but I think there is more to do in Vi�a. Iquique is closer to you on the other hand and a lot warmer around June/July than Vi�a is. By the way... have you ever been to Chile, gambaso? I'd be willing to trade places with you for a while... I am itching to go back to La Paz and see some more of Bolivia.
