Don't you just love the to-ing and fro-ing between Arostotle and Clark W. Griswald?
Aristotle says: There are no teaching jobs in Taiwan
Griswald says: Show me the facts, there's no evidence for that.
Aristotle says: The chicken came first.
Griswald says: No, it was the egg, stupid.
I think it's a great lively debate, keep it up fellas. But who do you think is talking the most sense?
I vote Griswald. |

Aristotle is a doomsayer. He does cause a lot of lively "to and fro-ing" though. |

I voted for myself, I hope that's not too unsportsmen like
Seriously though, this place would be pretty dull if Aristotle weren't posting here. I for one hope that he continues his posts, as he does raise points that are good for discussion. I rarely agree with his take on things, but welcome him to support his arguments if he wants to get the Griswald bear off his back! |

Griswald every time. Aristotle has no credibilty, never substantiates his claims, often repeats them even when they are proved false, and isn't even in the country.
Griswald has a proven track record of accuracy and reasoned opinion. |

I almost voted for Aristotle. But then I realized it wasn't between the philosopher and a national lampoon.
Aristotle isn't totally off, but he is extreme. I tend to go with conservatives. |

I judge each post on it's individual merits.
Null vote.
As to which do I believe, i don't feel that either poster is a liar. They present their points of view like everone.
Both posters go to some effort to at least reply to questions on this forum which is why both are well known enough on this forum to have a poll about.
Just my two cents worth. |

Well, I didn't expect this to be quite so one-sided, but the people have spoken. Let's hope that the landslide doesn't have any impact on Aristotle's posting, since I also feel he makes a good contribution.
In the words of Bob Evans, there are 3 sides to every story: My side, your side, and the truth. And neither of us is lying. |

I'm not voting. I've asked Aristotle questions many times and received one answer. If I were a new poster I would readall Aristotle's posts before making a judgement call. I've never asked Clark Griswald anything. I'd say Clark has the better website reference. |

Aristotle is a great source of information about certain aspects of teaching English in Taiwan. If your goal is to work at the lowest levels of the industry, continually scrounging visas out of Hong Kong, hoping that you don't get really sick and need health insurance, Aristotle has a great deal of information to provide -- REALLY. And the reality is that there are people who want to know about this. But if you're tired of that or want a future, he has little to say. For information about serious, sustainable work, Clark is probably a better source. |

Hmmmmmmm...yes, very interesting.
I know clark always tries to provide the most accurate answers and proof etc, but ya gotta admit the A man is provocative, to say the least. I really think he is trolling most of the time. I mean, how could anyone take the A man seriously???
For amusement I go with Aristotle! He knows how to make others' blood boil! |

You know that this is the scariest thing about A.
I believe that he is entirely serious in his posting, and that he really believes what he claims to be true. I believe that he really feels that his posts are factual and helpful, even though they are often proved wrong. |

All in all, I believe they are both correct. |
