Well I have decided to change tactics and look for a schools/universities in Kunming or Shanghai. I am looking for suggestions on schools that people have worked at that pay a decent wage and has a decent environment. I don't need perfect, that would be fooling myself right? I am only looking for decent management, pay, and hopefully some great students to boot. Please post some good contacts or suggestions. I have looked on the internet, but frankly I am getting sick of thumbing through ad after ad without any point of reference or opinions about these schools. Thank you, anyone, for any help you can give me.

HIghly disparate options, my friend, Shanghai and Kunming - there hardly are any two other cities in China that are more unlike each other!
In Kunming you stand to be hired by an university that pays substandard (by most comparisons) or a job at EF. There is probably no other employer. Universities there tend to be in a time warp harking back to the pre-Deng era! On the other hand, you will find there is serious competition for the few jobs there! Good luck!
Shanghai is wide open, gives you the chance of making money on the side too. Serious competition too, but at the moment SARS is probably keeping too many bidders away. And then, there is the hinterland that is welcoming too!
