|

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience teaching at Harbourview Elementary or High School? This is a private school close to Tianjin. The rates of pay are quite high because they hire qualifed teachers with Bachelors in Education. Any information appreciated.
Cheers,

I assume you've already looked at the school website.
http://www.harborviewschool.com/
The message from the new headmaster (appointed mid-term) ends with the paragraph, "Finally, there is an idea I would like to share with all of you here. Our school can be regarded as a spoiled kid, and he (she) has experienced a very hard time, thus, now he (she ) has become much more mature and sensible. Lets make our effort together, and take good care of the kid together!"
The new man is reporting to the head of the Home World group, which is a large, well-run retail group here in Tianjin. I had no idea they were involved with this school. All I know is that the school is relatively new, and located in TEDA, a modern but dull (for foreigners) area about 30 or 40km from Tianjin proper.
The direct involvement of Home World, odd as it sounds, might actually be a good thing, as the boss has a reputation for being progressive and receptive to foreign ideas. |
