Hi
I'm currently teaching in Colombia where you don't need to have a degree to get a work visa, but I'm now thinking of moving on to other Latin american countries and wondered what the situation was in the following countries: Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
Unfortunately I don't have the resouces to just show up on a tourist visa (like i have done here) and build my clientele from there so I was hoping to secure a job before I go. any advice?
thanks
sheena

In Mexico you do not need a degree, but this has become a very competitive market--which means without one you will probably not get a good job.

Venezuela is a warm, Caribbean country. Caracas is a thriving and very urban city (a mini Sao Paulo with some of Rios beauty) and spectacular beaches for weekend getaways. Working student visas are not complicated. Check out www.coachenglish.com for more info.

Let's not sell a very diverse country--Venezuela--short by only focusing on the beaches and Caracas. It also has the Gran Sabana (Jurassic Park without the dinos), Los Llanos, the Andes mountains, the Orinoco Basin, etc.

And most folks who teach there have 6 months tourist visas.
