Just been down my local supermarket in manchester and bumped into a taiwan student i know studying here in the uk, and her chinese friend. I Informed them i was thinking of teaching in china this summer, and of course the subject of S.A.R.S CAME UP. The chinese student was under the impression that you will be quarantined up to fourteen days if you fly out of beijing into another city in china.

| Are they REALLY quaranting everybody arriving from Beijing?? Certainly if you fly to Taiwan you will put in isolation---guaranteed. Surprised at no replies to this which just tells you that nobody really knows. I just dont think that symptom free people are being quarantined but I could be wrong. In fact I usually am wrong so there you go. |
