I am all ready for my job. I've been over the contract and have agreed to the wording, I've packed everything I am not currently wearing and I've quit my old job in Canada. There is only one problem. In order for me to go I need a visa. Now my school was doing things by the book, I was to come on a propper Z visa. However before I can go and apply for a Z visa I needed to get a formal letter of invitation and my foreign expert's doccuments from the school. My contact in China told me three days, that was two weeks ago. Is it usual for these doccuments to take this long to prepare? Or should I be beginning to get nervous? |

two weeks ago was the may day vacation. Most schools and government offices were closed so it would have been pretty hard for them to get the right paperwork out to you.
did you email them about this? |

Not to rain on your parade.
But.
A couple of things to consider.
It ain't over til the fat "Western" lady sings!
And.
Sometimes in China (more often then not)
A contract signed is merely a vote of confidence.
The final contract is the one all parties must live with.
But then again "This is China"
So, all bets are off! |
