It appears that most of the big schools (geos, aeon, nova, etc) tell you they will do all they can to place you where you want to go, but there's no guarantee, which sounds reasonable. My question is, for those of you who had a specific place in mind, how many of you got it? Do they really try or is telling you that just their way of giving you hope?
Another question. At what point in the hiring process did you find you where they were sending you?
Any suggestions on how to get to where you'd like to go? Or just blind luck?
Thanks a bunch,
Glenn |

A lot depends on timing. For example, if you really want to go a rural area, and a teacher happens to be finishing his/her contract there, you'd have a good chance of getting it. Obviously, the bigger the city and the more school branches in it, all increase your odds of getting the location you request. I can't give you an actual percentage of the odds of getting your desired location. It depends on many variables. Are you requesting a specific city or an entire prefecture? |
