hello my friend, 500 is not enough if you want to live. you will be lucky to find a place to stay for 500, not to mention everything else in life you need besides a place to sleep. anyways. for long term career. i suggest looking on this forum i have posted the requirements i found online for a greece ministry of education foreign language teacher cert.
with that you cane teach in a regular school and make decent money

I don't know what you mean by a "regular school" - if you mean a state school then a teaching certificate is definitely not enough to get a job there. At a frontistirio (private school) you can work with a teaching certificate (although to be honest a lot of schools won't really ask you to go through this process, as long as you've got a degree and are an EU citizen). As for 500 euros a month, it's enough in a small town if the school is providing you accommodation. Otherwise, unless a school gives you very few hours you should be getting around 700 a month. A small flat in Athens/Thessaloniki would cost between 250-400.[/code] |

hi,
yeah sorry, thats exactly what i meant by regular school. i meant state school. cause he was saying something about a career, and to me, thats the best idea that came to my mind.
as for other schools. ie. private schools or schools speacilizing in english who knows. all the schools have different requirements.
and as you said, 500 would be engough "IF" they provide you with accomodation. otherwise. take the numbers you just mentioned MINUS rent......
500 - 250to400
you arent left with much to live.
but everyone lives differently.
so!! enjoy life
btw, where abouts in greece are you? |
