I live in HK doing part-time English teaching work.
I have a P-Net interview next week.
Any advice would be appreciated....
eg - what do they want to hear?

Firstly make sure you're familiar with the objectives of the NET scheme, and then think of examples of how you would fulfil each of those. You can get them from the EMB website. In my interview I was asked how I would create the right environment for learning English and I talked a lot about extra-curricular activities and school English magazines and a language-rich environment. They also asked a couple of grammar questions and how I would teach the students (one of them, I remember, was the present perfect.) Above all, you've got to be bubbly and smiley and make sure the interviewers know you adore children. Most of the PNETs that I know here are like that! Good luck.

the focus is also very much on reading although the other skills cannot be ignored and should be integrated. Be prepared to talk about how you would set up a reading program - throw in a bit about the importance of phonics being integrated in the reading program and how you'd get the kids interested in reading.
the new syllabus for next year requires 40% of english teaching be focussed on reading. you may also be required to sit for a "test". Last year this required candidates to respond in essay form. there were various types of open ended type questions relating to teaching experience.
