Hi all,
Just wondering what the apartment status is for single bedroom furnished in Southeast Taipei?? I will be working in that side of Taipei and was wondering what kind of costs I'll be looking at.

Probably around $NT10.000 a month, for anything decent. That would be around $300-$330 a month.

You should get a local person to help you, as this will help you in the negotiation process.

Contact an English speaking real estate agent.
They are more than worth the fee they charge. If you have a problem with the land lord or anything else about your apartment later down the line, they usually will help you out .
10,000 a month won't get you much in Taipei.

On Taiwan all the best deals are done word of mouth. Try contacting one of the university Chinese languge departments and ask for info.
