I have been teaching for the past 3 years and would like to teach abroad for a few months, but do not want to mess with getting TESOL certified. I have esl experience, however. Will anyone hire me or I need to bite the bullet and get certified?

Hi M,
I suspect that if you are going to teach only for a "few months" you won't need a certificate. In many countries a Cert is preferred, but not required. More likely, your short commitment time will be the issue.
Your success may have a lot to do with which country you are interested in working in. Some will be more difficult with a short commitment - others easier. Where do you want to go?
What are you teaching at home? ESL?
Good luck! |
