I have been offered a job in an english village, 1.5 hours away from Incheon. Is this a good offer?
2.4 mil.

I am worried that I am going to be bored out of my tree being in a remote area.

Any suggestions?

(I would have put this on the south korean board, but I don't have a member ship yet for it. Still waiting for a reply. Thanks Smile )

There's a link somewhere to register for the Korea forums. I don't remember it, but maybe someone else can chime in.

Sorry this is a few days late,

and sorry answer your question with a question, but is this job through "netkorea" at an English Village in Inch'eon?

You said 1.5 hours away from Inch'eon, but I wondered---maybe hoped---you meant Seoul, b/c I was also offered a job at an English Village, for 2.4 million p/m, and I had some questions about it, too.

Personally, I've heard great things and I've heard horrible things about almost every place of SK, so maybe take comfort in your higher-than-most monthly wage, haha.

Maybe go over to the Korea forum and plug your location into the search box---or just search for "rural," or "small town," or look up "choosing a location" in the FAQ---and something should turn up to answer some of your questions.

Heres a current thread that looks like an honest heads-up about that job or at least one similar:

A smaller version just opened up near where I'm at & some good friends are working there. Above average pay but long hours, & yeh, dedication required.
