Anybody know where and how to get to the Oroshiuri Chuo market in Osaka? It believe its the Municipal Wholesale market, though there may be three or more, I'm interested in the one where the fish auction takes place. Thanks. |

I assume you are referring to the Honjo (main place) fish market which is a short walk from JR Noda station, which I think is on the Osaka Loop Line. |

Paul, thanks for the link, unfortunately I don't read Japanese. If I get off at JR Noda are there signs for the market or is it easy to find? |

The map says its a 12 minute walk from Noda station or the subway Tamagawa station on the sennnichimae line. the building is about 180,000 square meters of the size of a small baseball stadium or a couple of football fields. I dont think you can miss it as its right on the river. Ask someone at the station for the Oroshiuri-shijo and they will tell you where to go (figuratively speaking) |
