i am a bit confused about my visa situation.
when i came to japan i got a spousal visa (3 years) because my husband was coming over to work for JET.
a company wants to hire me for a part time position.
so i need to change my visa to a working spousal visa?
if so does anyone know what i need to get this?
i have 2 diplomas.
thanks!

If your husband is Japanese, you have a spouse visa.
If your husband is non-Japanese, you have a dependent visa.

The former allows you to work full-time at practically any job where the employer feels you are qualified.

The latter itself does not permit work, but with a simple additional document from immigration, you can get permission to do nearly any kind of work, although only part-time.

With either type of visa, getting the visa does not require a degree or diploma. Only the employer makes those requirements.

thanks for the info.
so if the employer only requires a diploma, and they want to hire me part time it should be ok?
