I'm a qualified elementary teacher currently working in HK at an international school. Basically, things here haven't been so great over the past few months. Most of it started right around "hiring season", but at that time it wasn't so bad to warrant shopping around for another job. Things have been going steadily downhill since, however, and recent events have really cemented a lot of negativity and low morale towards this institution. While I DO have a contract to work here next year, I'm seriously questioning whether or not I actually WANT to work here come September.
Most of the int'l school websites I've looked at indicate that all positions are filled, but then again, most positions don't really seem to get advertised, they seem to be filled through word-of-mouth instead.
So - are there still jobs available out there, either in other Int'l schools, or with the NET program? |
