Hey everyone!

I will probably be moving to Moriya in Southern Ibaraki Prefecture in July and wondering if anyone has lived there or has any input about what the city is like and what sort of things there is to do there.

I lived in Tsukuba City for about two years and I would teach once a week in Moriya. It took about 20 minutes by car to get to the school from Tsukuba. There is a good sized train station there (Moriya Stn.) that will get you to Tokyo in less than an hour. The city itself isn't that big but it is surrounded by other cities and townships that would have more to offer. There should be plenty of things for you to do both indoors and out.
BTW...Tsukuba City has many things to offer in ways of entertainment and recreation. And oh so many beautiful trees...

Good luck

S
