Dear all,

I hope those of you who live in Tokyo can help me out, I'm looking for an apartment and any advice would be appreciated.

Here is what I'm looking for:

* 1K apartment
* 20 minutes away from Shinjuku in any direction
* distance from the station is not important
* train line is not important
* I dont need a newer building but I don't want a dilapidated building either
* I'm want to pay no more than 60,000 yen per month

Could anyone recommend some ideal areas in Tokyo that meet these qualifications?

Any advice would be great, I can be contacted via PM as well

cheers

For about 80,000 I know a perfect place with al the CO-OP fixin's!! And i mean "fixins"!!

Try looking along the Seibu Shinjuku line especially around the Tanashi area. Apartments are generally cheaper along this line. Tanashi may be a little more expensive than the other stations because it's an express stop. Look around Seibu Yagisawa, Higashi Fushimi, Musashi Seki.

There's osme CO-OP housing out there too I think so your privce range might be doable. I don't think20min from Shinjuku will be though.
