I was just wondering about what the music scene is like in Central America - who is making it and what does it sound like? What kind of dancing might there be in, say...Comayagua, Honduras on a friday night?
I am particularly curious about Honduras and Hip-Hop but any general take on Central American music would be greatly appreciated since I am very open-minded, not to mention, a DJ who needs music to live.
Yasee, there's this great underground, grass roots hip-hop scene happening in Cuba right now which I find particularly inspiring and I wanted to know if the rest of the area had any such new influences. I love music and in Canada I see about 9 (give or take) live shows (many genres) each year, depending on $. Will I have serious withdrawals? I am sure it is a completely different thing in Honduras and I may be hoping against hope for hip-hop but I just thouught I'd ask...
Thanks to any of you music-heads with info or opinions... |
