Hi,
I'm from Canada and am planning on going to teach in Szczecin the near future. Does anyone have any info on the ESL scene there? What should I expect?
Also, I have a BA and lots of teaching experience here in BC. Would that be enough to get a job? I realize that the job market in other cities (ie Krakow and Warszawa) is more competitive so teachers are required to have a CELTA, etc. Is that a requrement in Szczecin too?
Thank you for any replies:)

With experience and a degree you should be able to find a job without too much of a problem. The only catch would come with a PASE member school. PASE require that 90% of classes are taught by qualified teachers and for native speakers that means a degree and a CELTA or similar. But PASE isn't strong in Szczecin for some reason. |
