Hi!
I need some advice on a good place to live if I were to alternate between two schools, one in Kwai Chung (near Kwai Fong MTR) and another in Sha Tin (KCRC Shatin station). Any recommendations will be much appreciated. I am looking for a conveniently located apartment that is relatively quiet and where I can find lots of green.
Thanks!

Location-wise I guess somewhere like Kowloon Tong or Prince Edward would work well. Not exactly green, though. Maybe there are some villages or developments in the hills between Shatin and Kwai Chung.

To be honest I don't think you're going to be able to sort everything out over the internet before you get here. Just relax and enjoy the summer. You're not going to get much useful knowledge from the wierdos, wind-up artists and assorted fekk-ups who reside on this board anyway (myself included). When you arrive in HK have a look round different areas, talk to some real people/local teachers in your schools etc. about good areas to live that are convenient for your school.

Take it easy.

One thing you can do is look for a hotel/apartments...there are hotels that offer long stay rooms where you get many of the services of the hotel as well as getting benefits like free cable/use of gym...

A great idea is to find a place like this and then start your housing search after you get settle in a bit...the hotels let you stay month by month..or you can sign a longer lease...

Not sure what is available in your area but you should have a look....

www.asiaxpat.com.hk might help you in your search
