Indonesias ethnic groove is so popular with the cross-dressing and the one-hand-in-deep torn-pocket-pants Indonesian men. Not much down there. The music actually sounds like a cat that needs feeding.
But who am I to question?
The Indo dudes like it.
Why?
Because of the sexy Daing Dhut Beeatches who shake their bootieeeee.
If you are contemplating on attending a Daing Dhut concert, its important to take your own tweezers and hankerchief.

Whats more sticky though is that the singing style and the dancing is infact not Indonesian at all. It was invented by an American one Joe Dirt

Daaaaing!!!!

The so-called dangdut was certainly not "invented" by a Yank!! It first achieved success in the mid-1970s with the very popular recordings of the Javanese singer Rhoma Irama, whose cassettes sold millions of copies and were heard everywhere in Indonesia on the radio.

The musical style was derived from the wildly popular Hindi film music that Indonesians loved from Bollywood musicals, and also partly from indigenous Malaysian and Indonesian orchestral music styles. Some also say that the singing style has influences from Islamic vocal ensembles found throughout Indonesia.

And of course it's "d/a/ngdut" and not "d/ei/ngdut". Wink

Well, now you know something you didn't know. What's DEFINITELY not smart is the following:

Chester's many attempts at 'humour' on Dave's are not nearly as funny as he thinks they are. You want "funny"? That's the image of SBY strutting and posing with Shrub. Laughing

Good comments.

You got me, ouch!

I actually had numerous emails from people saying they thought I said some funny stuff.
And to keep it up.

You dont like my posts, then dont read them.

But hey, since you are special, and since you live in Bangkok, I will send you a hand made Indonesian Wicker Condom.
God knows why there is such a birth control problem in Indonesia!

Also because you are obviously so smart, I am sending you a cape with I am a genius on the back.

Wear them both with pride.

Don't know why you thought that I was being "pseudo"-anything when I simply provided information that millions of people already know. But cheers anyway, mate!

We should all get together and buy Chester a hugely massive trumpet so's he can stand at the top of the Da Vinci building in Sudirman
http://www.mondiale.co.uk/mondoarc/gunawan/gunawan2.html (for those unfamiliar with this particularly ridiculous theme tower) and merrily blow upon it. Maybe up there, there'd be space for his head.Gue pikir kapalanya banget besar dong! Saya minta maaf Chester Wink

Joe Dirt definitely has the "poopy hair" wig like the dang dut girls.
the music is definitely the whine of a cat.

the statue of chester MUST be a naked one, of course.
with a rose in the teeth, a brit flag in the ash, and an inscription "oh what a lovely tea party". naturally boring brits would not think its tewwibly amusing.

Cardinal,. read up on the contents of pies mate. you may learn they often do contain pieces of skin. also a novel favorite of indo tourists to australia is the bacon and beef pie - moslem or not.
