Greetings everyone,
I've recently been in touch with the Emirates National School in Abu Dhabi. They told me they will start the accreditation process to become an IB school. Does anyone have information about them?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Regards,

It is a private school for local (Emirati) kids. Programs would be the typical IB and US/Canadian middle/high school curriculum. Salary is in the 9-10,000Dh range. Campus is out near Mussafah and the housing is so-so.
Personally I'd avoid it. |

I have a friend who works there and like many other private schools, has good facilities, new buildings, good teachers but unfortunately an admin situation that will run it into the ground.
I've seen the accommodation, and for single people it's a one-bedroom apartment which is fine. Money is given instead if requested, but it's not enough to find anything as decent yourself.
The money is better than most private schools in Abu Dhabi, there's a bus which will take you to school and bring you home, but you'd need your own car if you wanted to come or go at other times.
These days, Dubai seems a much safer bet for school jobs. |

Hi, have also been in touch with Emirates National School - could you elaborate a little on the admin situation?
Thanks |
