The only way really is to get someone you trust to take out the money using your cash card. The bank wont send money overseas without your hanko |

If you get a Shinsei account (which can be accessed from overseas) and can convince them to drop the cash into it you should be alright.

When I opened my Mizuho account I asked for the International Cash Card. You get two account numbers, but the one card, with the Cirrusemblem on it. Then you can use it anywhere overseas (incl the UK and Oz, where I have since used it). You transfer your dosh between the two accounts using the internet. |

When I left GEOS, I got paid in CASH on the last day of my contract.
The bonus money was a different matter. I was required to give my home bank account number and they EVENTUALLY deposited it into the account a few months later. It was said to have been my bonus plus my 'extra payment' but I never did get a breakdown on it. It was about 800 Cnd dollars so, I didnt sweat it. |
